Why do we ask for your social security number?

If you are going to receive stock shares and/or if you earn more than $600 in bonuses in a calendar year we are required to have your Social Security Number in order to provide you and the government with appropriate documentation for tax purposes.

iConsumer issues 1099's when you earn more than $600 in bonuses and/or stock.
Regular cashback rebates are not included in this amount as they are exempt from the 1099 rule.

This is not our policy but the law.
